Round 4

My chemo appointment today was at 9:00 AM, which I found out is a very popular time.  By 9:15 the waiting room was just about full.  I got called in and went through the usual routine.  Today was Taxol only.  I got my pre-meds and settled in for my Benadryl-induced snooze and finished around 11:30.  The only difference today was that I went to work after treatment.  The other times I either took the whole day off or worked in the morning and then went in for chemo.  I started to fade a little bit towards the end, but it wasn’t bad.   The steroids have kicked in and it’s now approaching 12:00 AM and I can’t sleep.  I think I will be really dragging tomorrow at work.

My blood work was good although I notice I am 1/10 below the low range on HGB the last couple of weeks.  They’ll start to get concerned if it goes below 10.

Plateletes and white blood cell counts are holding up well…

Remember I am a platelete donor and, if red blood becomes a need, my type is A+. I would be please to give the gift of life!
