I received two really nice surprises today.
First, was a call from our daughter who started her law school application process a week ago and got her first acceptance today to the University of Georgia. She will be graduating in May from a large public university and has maintained a 4.0 since freshman year and scored in the 90th percentile on her LSAT. We are so proud of her accomplishments and I expect she will receive a few more acceptances before the cycle is over. She was hoping to hear something before I started chemo treatments, so it would take my mind off things and it sure did!
The second surprise I found when I arrived home and saw a Sony Blu Ray Disc/DVD home theater system near by my front door. We don’t know who it’s from, but I have a feeling it’s from one of my great brothers-in-law. When I was diagnosed I had some money that I had put aside for a “rainy day” and used it to splurge on a 46″ inch HDTV, so this will really enhance our TV viewing.
I ended the night playing a new video game with my son – Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
How sweet…..hope you continue to get nice suprises…!
