Approval to participate in the clinical trial was received this afternoon: Randomized phase II 2×2 factorial trial of the addition of carboplatin and/or bevacizumab to neoadjuvant weekly paclitaxel followed by dose-dense AC in hormone receptor-poor/HER2-negative resectable breast cancer.

All my bodily fluid tests and MUGA scan came back with a thumbs up and my insurance company has given the go ahead to participate.

I will be placed in ARM III – Paclitaxel followed by AC with bevacizumab (avastin) and paclitaxel and AC

Let the war begin.

Tomorrow – battle preparations – insertion of port.
